Open Access Policy

1. Open Access Commitment

The International Journal of Social Science and Applied Technology (IJSSAT) is a fully open-access journal. All content is freely available without charge to readers or institutions. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or author, in accordance with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

2. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their work without restrictions. IJSSAT does not claim ownership of the copyright. Authors grant IJSSAT the non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, and distribute their articles in all formats and media.

3. Licensing Terms

All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) License.

  • This license allows anyone to share (copy and redistribute) the material in any medium or format.

  • Proper credit must be given to the author(s) and the source.

  • The material cannot be used for commercial purposes.

  • No modifications, adaptations, or derivative works may be distributed.

4. Archiving and Preservation

IJSSAT participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which digitally preserves all published content to ensure long-term accessibility. Additionally, IJSSAT maintains local backups and encourages authors to self-archive published articles in institutional and subject repositories.

5. Article Processing Charges (APC)

IJSSAT charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 80 USD, which is applied only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication. No fees are charged for submission or peer review.

As a limited-time initiative to support emerging scholars, the APC is waived for all submissions received on or before December 31, 2026. In addition, authors invited by the Editorial Team, recommended by Editorial Board members, or referred by cooperating academic organisations may be eligible for a waiver code that exempts the APC.

6. Author Self-Archiving (Green Open Access)

Authors are permitted to deposit the following versions of their article in personal websites, institutional repositories, subject repositories (such as SSRN or arXiv), academic social networks (such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu), and preprint servers, with no embargo period:

  • Preprint: The version of the manuscript prior to peer review.
  • Accepted Manuscript (Author's Accepted Manuscript, AAM): The version accepted for publication after peer review, before copyediting and typesetting.
  • Version of Record (VoR): The final published article as it appears in IJSSAT.

When depositing any version, authors are requested to include a full citation to the published article in IJSSAT and a link to the Version of Record on the journal website (https://ijssat.org) or via its DOI (https://doi.org/10.64391/ijssat.xxx).

This policy aligns IJSSAT with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative and supports authors in meeting funder open access requirements.
